Pre-built PCs from large retailers are often built to a price rather than built to perform. Manufacturers cut costs where you cannot easily see it — slow storage, inadequate cooling, or power supplies with no headroom. A custom build lets you allocate your budget where it matters most for the games you play.
At Forge PC, every machine is built to order. There are no warehouse shelves of identical builds — your PC is assembled specifically for you, with parts chosen to work well together at your chosen price point.
What goes into a Forge gaming build
Every gaming PC we build includes a current-generation CPU and GPU matched to avoid bottlenecks, DDR5 memory, NVMe SSD storage, and a power supply with adequate headroom. Cases are selected for airflow first — we do not fit RGB at the expense of thermals.
Once assembled, each build runs a full stress test using real workloads — not just a quick boot check. We look for thermal issues, stability under load, and any hardware anomalies before the PC is packed and dispatched.
Gaming PCs for every budget
Our range covers 1080p builds from £599 through to high-refresh 1440p rigs and 4K flagship builds. Use the PC configurator to build to your exact budget, or browse our base builds for a starting point.
How to choose a gaming PC
The right gaming PC is the one that comfortably feeds your monitor and the games you actually play. Three quick rules: match GPU power to your monitor's resolution and refresh rate; size your CPU to the GPU so you don't bottleneck either; and don't skimp on the PSU, cooler or NVMe — those are the components that decide how quiet, cool and long-lived the build feels in real use.
