What “custom” actually means here
A custom Forge PC is a one-off. You pick the CPU, GPU, motherboard, RAM, storage, PSU, case, cooling and even the fans. Our PC configuratorshows live pricing and flags any compatibility issues before you order, so you don't have to memorise socket types or PSU wattage tables. If you'd rather start from something curated, every base build can be customised part-for-part.
Three popular custom build recipes
Inside the build
Brand-name parts only. No OEM coolers, no single-channel RAM tricks, no closed-front cases.
Inside the build
The configuration we recommend most often — feeds a 1440p high-refresh monitor without bottlenecks.
Inside the build
Use the quick-start configurator if you want a guided 60-second build, or jump straight into build from scratch if you already know exactly what you want.
Custom vs pre-built
A pre-built gaming PC is engineered to a margin first and a spec second. Manufacturers cut costs in places you can't easily see — slow SATA SSDs, single-channel RAM, generic PSUs without upgrade headroom, closed-front cases that cook the GPU. A custom build lets every pound work where it actually matters.
High street pre-built
Built to a price, not a spec.
Custom Forge build
Built to perform, end to end.
How custom building works at Forge
1. Configure. Pick parts in the configurator (or pick a base build and tweak it). Live pricing, live compatibility checking, no upsell pop-ups. 2. Pay.Card, Klarna, or Clearpay — secure Stripe checkout. 3. We build it. Hand-assembled, cable-managed and stress-tested for 24 hours in our UK workshop. 4. It arrives. Insured tracked delivery, with a photo of your finished PC sent before we box it.
Custom PCs for any use case
Whether you're after a cheap custom 1080p rig, a 1440p high-refresh sweet-spot build, a 4K flagship, an esports rig for 240Hz+, a streaming PC, a silent build, a mini-ITX SFF, an Intel Core machine, or an AMD Ryzen rig— every one is a custom-built, hand-assembled Forge PC under the hood.
Need a non-gaming bespoke build? Our custom workstation PCs use the same configurator and same workshop, configured for video editing, 3D rendering, CAD, AI and development workloads instead of FPS.
Ready to start?
Start the quick configuratorif you'd like a guided 60-second build, or jump into the full builderif you already know exactly what you want. Either way, you'll see the price, the parts, the compatibility and the estimated build time before you pay a penny.
Common questions
A custom gaming PC is a computer built specifically for you using parts you choose, rather than a pre-built off-the-shelf model. At Forge PC every machine is configured component-by-component, hand-assembled in the UK, then stress-tested for 24 hours before dispatch.
For comparable real-world performance, yes. A custom Forge build is typically £100 to £400 cheaper than an equivalent high-street pre-built because you don't pay for warehouse stock, branded packaging, or low-quality bundled peripherals. Every pound goes into the parts that drive performance.
Most custom builds are assembled, stress-tested and dispatched within 5 to 7 working days from order. Once built, we send a photo of your finished PC before it leaves the workshop, then ship next-day tracked.
Yes. Our step-by-step PC configurator lets you build a custom gaming PC online in around 60 seconds. We flag compatibility issues live as you choose parts so you can't accidentally pair an incompatible CPU and motherboard.
Every custom-built Forge gaming PC comes with a 2-year parts-and-labour warranty as standard. If anything fails inside the warranty period we repair or replace at no cost to you, with UK-based human support — not a chatbot.
Yes. Start from one of our base builds — curated 1080p, 1440p and 4K configurations — and tweak any part you want. Or use the configurator's quick-start flow to tell us your budget and target games and we'll suggest a balanced spec.
When built properly, yes — usually more reliable than a comparable pre-built because every part is brand-name, fitted by hand, and tested. Forge uses ASUS, MSI, Corsair, Samsung, NZXT and other tier-one components only.
Yes. Klarna and Clearpay are available at checkout on every custom Forge PC, letting you split the cost into 3 interest-free payments. We also accept all major debit and credit cards via secure Stripe checkout.
